BMV Club

I did a really bad thing today. I purchased more patterns. I had promised myself I would not purchase another pattern until the new year. But BMV Club (Butterick, McCall, Vogue) had patterns for ($3.29). Patterns here in NYC of all places are hard to locate the only place I know that you can purchase is on Canal Street. Who has time to travel there with all this sewing to be done. So I placed my order. Okay no more pattern purchases for me until at least the spring that's a promise. Here's a peak at what I purchased. Yeah I know a little obsessive.

Red Dress

I loved Michelle Obama's red dress when visiting the Bush's. There is a dress similar to this with Vogue patterns which I purchased a while back. I think I will be making this one real soon.
Such a better choice than that other red dress at the victory speech. (The left picture is what the dress was suppose to have looked like). And I still did not like it.

TOPS

I need tops! I decided to get rid of most of my winter tops. So now I have none and must replenish my supply. This top was quick and easy Burda 7867. Just took a couple of hours from start to finish. I purchased more of this similar knit fabric so you will be seeing this top again in different colors and patterns. Two yards at $2.00 a yard can't go wrong. Yeah I'm working on my taking of pictures.

Paris' blanket

I got to get use to this blogging thing. Its been a while. I have a lot to download regarding pictures but bare with me. Here is a picture of the blanket I made for grandma's baby for school. He needs it for nap time. I used scraps of fabric I had lying around and a flannel night gown that my mom gave me that I never wore. Not a flannel type of girl. I will try to be more consistent with my blogging. P.S. finished the pants but don't like my pictures. So until I get a good pictured
